Overview
The religious tour, popularly known as ‘Dambadiva Vandana’, covers the Four Holy Sites where Lord Buddha lived and taught. The Dambadiva Pilgrimage Tour includes all the significant places associated with the life of Gautama Buddha—Lumbini (Birth), Bodh Gaya (Enlightenment), Sarnath (First Sermon), and Kushinagar (Mahaparinirvana)—along with other important religious destinations such as Rajgir, Vaishali, Sravasti, and Sankisa

Itinerary
Upon arriving at Varanasi Airport also known as Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport (VNS ) and completing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate. Our Punpun Trails repersentatrtive will be waiting for you in the lobby, holding a signboard with your name on it. You are transferred to hotel in a private A/C vehicle . Upon arrival check In hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Varanasi
Early morning boat rides on the River Ganges to witness the breath-taking sunrise. Return to hotel, after breakfast drive to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
Visit Mulaganda kuti Viharaya for Pirith Chanting.
Mulagandha kuti Vihara was built in 1931 by the Maha Bodhi Society. The foundation was laid by Anagarika Dharmapala, a Sri Lankan Buddhist revivalist. The vihara was constructed to commemorate the teachings of Lord Buddha, who delivered his first sermon—the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta—at the nearby Deer Park (Isipatana).
Later Visit Dharmarajika Stupa, Dammika Stupa, Sammuka Stupa and Sarnath Muesum .
Return to Hotel . After Lunch drive Bodh Gaya – The Land of Enlightenment of the Buddha approx. 270 Kms / 6 Hours . Upon arrival check In hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Bodh Gaya.
Early morning, visit the Mahabodhi Temple to offer Ghee Rice Pooja (Kiripidu Dhana) at the sacred Bodhi Tree, under which Prince Siddhartha attained Enlightenment.
Return for breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to the Dungeshwari Caves (approximately 17 km), also known as Pragbodhi, where Prince Siddhartha meditated for six years before attaining Enlightenment.
Later, visit the Sujatha Temple, located near the Niranjana River, where Buddha accepted his first meal after Enlightenment. Sujata, a local village woman, offered milk rice to the starving ascetic Siddhartha.
Return to the hotel. After lunch, visit the 80-feet Buddha Statue and the Sri Lanka Monastery.
In the evening, attend the Bodhi Pooja at the sacred Bodhi Tree.
Dinner and overnight stay at Bodhgaya.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Vaishali. En route, visit Rajgir (approximately 65 km), the sacred land of Buddha’s teachings and ancient kingdoms, where Lord Buddha spent several years. Visit Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak), Peace Pagoda (Vishwa Shanti Stupa), and Veluwanaramaya (Bamboo Garden).
After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Nalanda (approximately 15 km) to visit the ruins of the world’s oldest university, the International Centre for Buddhist Studies, and the Nalanda Museum (closed on Fridays).
Then continue the drive to Vaishali (110 km / approximately 3 hours). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Vaishali, where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon before attaining Mahaparinirvana and announced his impending death. Vaishali is also renowned as the world’s first republic (6th century BCE). Visit the Ananda Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, and the famous Buddha Relic Stupa.
Return to the hotel. After lunch, drive to Kushinagar, on the way visiting Keshariya, where the Kalama Sutta was delivered.
On arrival at Kushinagar, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Kushinagar.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Kushinagar, the sacred place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. Explore the Mahaparinirvana Temple (where Buddha took his last breath), the Rambhar Stupa (cremation site of Lord Buddha), the Matha Kuar Shrine, and the Japanese and Chinese Temples.
Return to the hotel. After lunch, drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Stop at the India-Nepal border for visa and immigration formalities (ensure you have a double or multiple-entry visa for India).
Dinner and overnight stay at Lumbini.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the birthplace of Buddha — the Mayadevi Temple.
This sacred site is blessed with serenity and natural beauty, perfectly reflecting the aura of the place where the legend was born.
Lunch at the hotel. Later, drive to Sravasti, en- route visiting Kapilavastu , the childhood home of Gautam Buddha. Then continue to Sravasti (Sahet-Mahet), the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, where Buddha delivered many of his sermons.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sravasti.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Sravasti, where Lord Buddha spent 24 monsoon retreats and performed miracles to enlighten his disciples. Explore Jetavana, where Buddha delivered the majority of his teachings and discourses, having stayed there for 19 monsoon seasons. Visit the Ananda Bodhi Tree, also known as the Peepal Tree, and attend the Bodhi Pooja.
Lunch at the hotel.
After lunch, drive to Lucknow. On arrival in Lucknow, transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Lucknow.
After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit Sankasya, where Lord Buddha descended from Tushita Heaven after teaching the Abhidhamma to his mother, Queen Maya, and celestial beings. Visit the Buddha’s Descent Stupa, the Elephant Capital Pillar, and the ruins of ancient monasteries.
Lunch at Sankasya.
Afterward, continue the drive from Sankasya to Agra On arrival, check in to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Agra.
After breakfast at the hotel, . Visit one of the world’s most popular monuments, the Taj Mahal (it is closed every Friday), built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan for his Empress Mumtaz Mahal.Later visit Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra. After Lunch drive to Delhi . Dinner and Overnight stay at Delhi
After Breakfast at the hotel visit National Museum to see Buddhist Relics. Visit Shakthipitan where Sathipattana was held. Later visit India gate, drive past President House and Parliament Street. After Lunch free for shopping. Evening transfer to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Delhi
At an appropriate time, you will be transferred to Delhi airport for your flight back home.
