Digambar Jain Tirth Yatra (Ex-Parasnath Station) – Shikharji, Mandaragiri, Champapuri, Guniyaji, Pavapuri, Kundalpur & Rajgir
Itinerary
Arrival at Parasnath Railway Station and transfer to Shikharji (28 km). Upon arrival, check in at the Dharamshala and relax. After lunch, proceed for Seva Puja and Darshan at Rujuvalika, the sacred place where Lord Mahavir attained Keval Gyan (Omniscience). After the darshan, return to Shikharji. Dinner and overnight stay at the Dharamshala.
Teerthraj Shikharji, situated on the sacred Parasnath Hills at an elevation of approximately 4,480 feet (1,370 m), is the most revered Jain pilgrimage site. It is believed that 20 of the 24 Jain Tirthankaras, along with numerous monks, attained Moksha (liberation) here. The pilgrimage involves a spiritually enriching trek of about 27 km through the serene forests and hills of Madhuban.
Early in the morning at around 4:00 AM, begin the sacred Pahad Yatra. After a holy bath, proceed for Seva-Puja and Darshan at the various Tonks on the mountain. Navkarsi will be arranged near Jal Mandir. After completing the pilgrimage and returning in the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Hotel/Dharamshala.
Early morning After breakfast proceeds for Rujuwalika ( Journey 30 Min) Dharshan of Shri Mahvir Swami Jinalaya( Keval Gyan Bhumi) .
later proceed to MANDAR GIRI HILL approx 5 hours journey Mandar Giri Digambar Jain Temple is dedicated to Lord Vasupujya Swami. It is famous as the place of penance, Keval Gyan and nirvana of Vasupujya Swami.
Later proceed to .Champapuri is also believed to be birthplace of Vasupujya, the twelfth tirthankara. Shri Vasupuja Bhagwan seated in lotus Posture in white color and of height 45Cms (Shve). Sri Vasupujiya Bhagwan ina lotus posture in green color and of height 97 Cms (Dig) both in a shrine on the bank of Ganga .Many Jain ascetics, like Muni Dharmaghosh, Muni Padmarath, Ashok and Anchal, attained salvation there, as it was a Siddhakshetra An ancient temple of Champanala is seen at this place.Darshan (MAHAVIR BHAGVAN NI KEVAL GYAN BHUMI) .Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel /Dharmshala.
After Navkarsi, Seva-Puja, and Darshan, After lunch proceed to Rajgir (approx. 6 hours drive). En route, visit Guniyaji, the sacred Keval Gyan Bhumi of Shri Gautam Swamiji, and seek blessings at this revered Jain pilgrimage site.
Arrive in Rajgir by evening and check in at the Hotel/Dharamshala. The rest of the day is free for relaxation and personal activities.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel/Dharamshala.
Morning, proceed for the sacred 1st and 5th Pahad Yatra for darshan of the holy Jain temples and Tonks. After completing the pilgrimage, return for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the major attractions of Rajgir, including Brahmikala Mandir, Veerayatan, and Navlakha Mandir, the sacred Kalyanak Bhoomi of Shri Munisuvrat Swami. You may also visit Maniyar Math and Swarn Bhandar (at your own expense).
Later, enjoy a ropeway ride to visit the renowned Vishwa Shanti Stupa (Buddha Temple) and explore the beautiful Japanese and Burmese Temples.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel/Dharamshala.
Morning, proceed to Pavapuri (approx. 35 minutes drive), one of the holiest Jain pilgrimage sites. Visit the sacred Gaon Mandir of Shri Mahavir Swamiji, New and Old Samosharan, Digambar Jain Temple, and the renowned Jal Mandir, the revered Nirvana Bhumi of Lord Mahavir Swami, where he attained Moksha.
Later, drive to Kundalpur (approx. 35 minutes). Visit the birthplace of Shri Gautam Swami, explore the sacred temple, and participate in darshan.
Thereafter, visit the world-famous Nalanda University Ruins, an ancient center of learning and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In times transfer to Patna Station
